My last post stated that a lot’s been happening over the last 5 months.
Here’s some of the evidence! A little photo-wall catch up (ketchup), if you will…
So here we are – my friend Andrew and I shortly after being told that we’ve qualified as Level 2 ski instructors! Friday 14th March 2014.
NB: This was a planned step for Andrew and a completely unexpected blessing for me! But more on that later…
It’s a mystery to me
We have a greed with which we have agreed
And you think you have to want more than you need
Until you have it all, you won’t be free
Society, you’re a crazy breed
I hope you’re not lonely without me
When you want more than you have, you think you need
And when you think more than you want, your thoughts begin to bleed
I think I need to find a bigger place
Cause when you have more than you think, you need more space
I read this today and think it is, quite simply, beautiful:
The time you won your town the race,
We chaired you through the market-place;
Man and boy stood cheering by,
And home we brought you shoulder-high.
To-day, the road all runners come,
Shoulder-high we bring you home,

Then add to that my mentioning the other day that my cousin is having a baby. That’s the foundation, sure… Continue reading
Today I’ve been teaching my apprentice about the important differences between RGB & CMYK colours. I can tell I’ve already lost some of you here, so allow me to explain:
RGB means Red Green Blue – These are the colours used on your computer screens, in various combinations to create different colours.
CMYK means Cyan Magenta Yellow blacK (yes I know it should be CMYB, it annoys me too) – These are the colours used by your printers or on anything printed really!
Why does it matter?
Because, WHAT YOU SEE on screen IS NOT WHAT YOU GET in print.
